Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
Whilst the main focus of a fire protection strategy should be to prevent fire there is always a possibility that a fire situation may occur and therefore automatic fire detection is essential. Every second saved through early warning facilities could make a difference to a company or site recovering from a fire without too much disruption.
Under BS5839-1: 2013 we can offer a full design, installation, commission, handover and maintenance packages for an extensive range of wired & wireless fire alarm systems. We can help you provide the earliest possible warning in the event of a fire situation which in turn facilitates swift and safe evacuation of people from your premises.
Fire Suppression & Air Sampling Systems
Fire Suppression systems are generally used to limit fire damage in critical areas such as server rooms, computer suites, archive rooms or industrial processes and hazards.
Under BS5839-1: 2013 – BS6266-2011 – BS7273 Part 1 & 2 we can offer a full design, installation, commission, handover and maintenance packages for an extensive range of Fire Suppression & Air Sampling Systems. We are able to design, install and commission a wide range of Fire Suppression Systems to suit the environment in which they are required to protect and to suit those needs of the individual customer. Some of these include CO2, FM200, Inergen, Novec, Argonite and others.
Tackling a small fire with a fire extinguisher may make the difference between a small incident and a full scale disaster. Not all fires are the same, different fuels create different fire conditions and therefore require different types of fire extinguishing agents.
Under BS5306-3: 2009 & BS5306-8: 2012 we can offer a full design, installation, commission, and maintenance package for an extensive range of Portable fire extinguishers which are essential for the safety of your staff and visitors.
Under BS5266-1: 2011 & associated regulations. We can offer a full design, installation, commission, handover and maintenance package for an extensive range of emergency lights. Emergency Lighting is needed in the event of normal lighting supply failure to show escape routes lighting the way up including if necessary Panic Bars and Pads from buildings by use of both exit signs and luminaires on the route acting as beacons to a place of safety. Also to be able to see and operate Fire Safety Equipment as needed for example Manual Call Points, Fire Indication Equipment and Extinguishers.
There is also now an inclusion to highlight for example High Risk Areas and First Aid Posts to permit operations concerned with safety measures. Minimum Emergency Lighting levels have been increased to aid the means of escape to be safe and effectively used so activities, in particular work in hazardous workplaces can be safely terminated and emergency actions can be effectively carried out at appropriate locations in the workplace.
